The International Journal of Bioelectronics makes decisions about submitted papers as rapidly as possible. All manuscripts are handled electronically throughout the consideration process. The journal may use plagiarism detection software to screen the submissions. Authors are usually informed within a week if the paper is not being considered.
In order for an article to be accepted for publication, the Editor-in-Chief will first consider if the manuscript meets the minimum editorial standards and fits within the scope of the International Journal of Bioelectronics. If an article is considered suitable for the journal, the Editor-in-Chief will solicit at least two external peer reviewers to assess the article before confirming a decision to accept. Once your article is accepted, we will process it for publication.
In most cases we’ll now do all the work of reformatting it to the journal’s style. Occasionally you may be asked to complete some formatting on your paper, either at the point of acceptance or if you are invited to make revisions.
